Over the last few years, a number of iconic musicians have done the unthinkable; selling their music catalogs for large sums. What in the past was viewed as a sellout move has seemingly become the norm for established artists, and now another big name is joining the list. Bruce Springsteen is currently in talks to sell his life’s work, and it could bring the singer a massive haul.
Between his solo career and work with the E Street Band, Bruce Springsteen has created quite an extensive music catalog, and now it soon may be in the hands of Sony. The Boss is currently in negotiations with Sony for both his music and publishing catalogs, which are estimated to be worth between $330 million and $415 million. According to Ultimate Classic Rock, Springsteen is seeking upward of $350 million for both.

While some couldn’t believe the reported amount Springsteen’s team is hoping for, many believe it to be a good deal, as The Boss has sold more than 65 million albums in the U.S. alone throughout his career. If the deal goes through, Springsteen would join a list that includes Neil Young, Bob Dylan, David Crosby, Stevie Nicks, Journey and Nikki Sixx. Clearly Springsteen is no longer worried about being called a sellout.
