Over the years, many great chefs have attempted to bring their signature flavors to DFW, with some doing better than others. Lately, all the talk surrounding a celebrity chef in North Texas has been about viral star Salt Bae's new steakhouse in the area, Nusr-Et, but now another celebrity chef has come to town to steal some of that spotlight. David Chang opened his first Texas restaurants this week, launching his delivery only chicken sandwich restaurant, Fuku, in Dallas and Plano.
With the rise of ghost kitchens throughout the country, celebrity chef David Chang decided to hop on board, launching a miniature version of his first restaurant, Momofuku Noodle Bar, which is delivery only. Fuku has a limited menu, selling fried chicken sandwiches, along with chicken fingers and waffle fries. While this is Chang's first Texas location, Fuku is already available in Miami, New York, Philadelphia and Washington DC and can be ordered on Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub, and Postmates for delivery.
According to Dallas Morning News, Chang will also open a location in Houston, giving Texans throughout the state a chance to try his chicken sandwiches. With this new restaurant, the chicken sandwich wars just got brought to another level.
