The first joke pretty much every one learns is “why did the chicken cross the road?” However, some DFW drivers learned recently that the classic joke actually has some reality in it. A video went viral this week of a chicken escaping an 18 wheeler on I-75 in Dallas, and as cars tried avoiding it, all the chicken really wanted to do was get to the other side.
On Wednesday, the popular social media page “Dallas Texas TV” shared video that a driver recorded on I-75 in Dallas of a chicken jumping out of the back of an 18 wheeler. As seen in the clip that has since gone viral, there is a small opening that the chicken escapes from, ending up on the road as cars fly by. The vehicle filming the incident slows down as they got closer to the chicken, as not to harm it.
It is unknown the fate of this chicken as the 18 wheeler kept driving, and so did many other cars. Hopefully someone was able to help the chicken cross the road. If anything, at least they now have a new version of the joke to tell.
