The argument over the best fast food burger usually comes down to two places; Whataburger and In-N-Out. While some areas of the country prefer the Texas staple, the west coast usually sides with In-N-Out burger.
Sadly for those in San Francisco, their only In-N-Out location was recently shut down for not enforcing the city’s vaccine policy.
The San Francisco Department of Public Health shut down the Fisherman’s Wharf In-N-Out burger last week, claiming employees “were not preventing the entry of Customers who were not carrying proper vaccination documentation.” Since August, local guidelines have required people to show proof of vaccination before dining indoors. “After closing our restaurant, local regulators informed us that our restaurant Associates must actively intervene by demanding proof of vaccination and photo identification from every Customer, then act as enforcement personnel by barring entry for any Customers without the proper documentation,” said In-N-Out's Chief Legal and Business Officer Arnie Wensinger.

According to SF Gate, the restaurant has since opened via drive-thru, but indoor dining remains closed. There has been no confirmation as to when indoor dining will resume. For devout In-N-Out fans, this is definitely a major blow.
