The 2022 NFL season is officially underway, and while every fan was excited to see the sport return, already half the fan bases are upset with their team's losing performance in the first week. Luckily for those fans, they can point to a team that actually pulled out a victory that somehow managed to do something even more embarrassing. The Washington Commanders went viral on Sunday after fans spotted an official team store selling mugs with their logo over an outline of the state of Washington.
The Washington Commanders represent Washington DC, and play their home games in Maryland. Yet, somehow someone made a mistake when the team was creating mugs to sell at their stadium during the first week of the NFL season. The mugs featured the team logo on top of an outline of Washington state, which is on the other side of the country.
According to Yahoo, the mugs were being sold in an official team truck outside the stadium. Once photos of the mugs started going viral the team quickly removed the items. Hopefully now, the person that made the mistake knows where the team actually plays.
