Texans take great pride in the businesses that come from the Lone Star state. Whether it’s Whataburger, Buc-ee’s or any other Texas staple, locals are always quick to defend it as better than any other option. Now, after years of rumors another beloved Texas business is finally making its way to DFW, as it was announced recently that H-E-B is set to begin construction on their first location in McKinney.
With construction for H-E-B locations in Plano and Frisco already underway, the grocery chain is now ready to start building a third. H-E-B will break ground on the McKinney location on the northeast corner of Custer Road and Eldorado Parkway March 3, according to Dallas Morning News. It should take 16 months to build the grocery store, but luckily the Plano and Frisco locations are expected to open this fall.

Many throughout the metroplex are excited to finally see what all the H-E-B fuss is about. Rumors of their DFW expansion have been floating around since 2014. Soon, North Texas will be just as obsessed with H-E-B as the rest of Texas.
