If you’re fan of On the Border, the clock is literally ticking the minutes until you’re no longer able to enjoy it again.
The Dallas-founded franchise announced they would be permanently closing all company-owned locations by the end of the day today, Friday June 12.
OTB Hospitality said in a statement per WFAA, “This decision follows a thorough evaluation of the business and was not made lightly.
We are currently evaluating the future of the On The Border brand and exploring a range of strategic options.”
First founded in Dallas in 1982, On the Border has several locations across North Texas, including in Denton, McKinney, Garland, Rockwall and Arlington. Those will all cease operations by the end of the day.
There are some restaurants that operate independently in South Dakota, Florida, Nevada, California, and South Korea. Those locations will remain open.
