We are exactly one month away from the beginning of the NFL season, and any fan heading to AT&T Stadium this year to watch the Cowboys live can expect a few new security measures to help keep everyone safe.

According to Sports Illustrated the Cowboys, along with the rest of the NFL, will be using facial recognition technology to verify the identity of every fan entering a stadium for an NFL game this year.

Jeff Boehm, the chief operating officer of Wicket, which is the company behind the facial recognition technology, says this system is designed to "ensure that only properly credentialed media, officials, staff, and guests can access restricted areas such as the playing field, press box, and locker rooms."
