It’s been a hard road for Tacos Juancho since the first opened their doors in September 2025, including two break-ins during their first two months of operation.
The restaurant endured the struggle and came out on top as they were recently named one of the very best taco shops in the nation.
Food & Wine magazine recognized them as one of top 8 new taquerias to visit in the U.S.
After suffering a break-in in September just after they opened, thieves stole over $3,000 in cash from the restaurant following another break-in this past February.
Restaurant manager Oliver Valdez told WFAA, “It's a lot of work. It's a lot of hard work here, so people just come and take advantage of that.”
Through everything, Valdez said the restaurant’s customers kept them going. "But what I'm saying, God is on our side," he said.
