Trying to find an affordable place to live these days is incredibly difficult, especially when you have to find suitable accommodations for your children.

Thankfully, a new study from Redfin has found that Dallas is one of the most affordable cities in the nation for renters with children!

The study analyzed major cities across the U.S. and determined their rankings based on their "combined rent-plus-childcare costs."

Dallas ranked as the second most affordable city for renters with kids, placing only behind our neighbors to the south Houston.

The full top ten is as follows:

1 – Houston, TX
2 – Dallas, TX
3 – Atlanta, GA
4 – Washington D.C.
5 – Baltimore, MD
6 – St. Louis, MO
7 – Minneapolis, MN
8 – Denver, CO
9 – Chicago, IL
10 – Seattle, WA

The study found that the typical Dallas renter spends 27.4% of their income on childcare and housing, and the combined childcare-plus-rent cost is $2,306 ($851 on childcare, $1,455 on rent).
