If you’re looking for a new place to live for you and your furry friends, look no further than the Big D!
A new report from Zillow found that Dallas was the second most pet-friendly place to rent in the nation in 2024, with 79% of rental listings in the city allowing tenants to have animals, compared to only 57% of listing nationally.
Dallas only came behind Austin, where pet-friendly rentals accounted for 80% of all citywide listings.
According to CultureMap Dallas, pet-friendly rentals in Dallas were leased three days faster than units that don't allow pets, and that it took about eight days for the median U.S. pet-friendly rental to lease sooner than non-pet-friendly listings.
As a whole, Texas led all 50 states with the most pet-friendly listings last year.
