When two tamarin monkeys were stolen from the Dallas Zoo back in January, many were worried they may never be seen again. Luckily, they were later found and have since been returned to the zoo, and now the zoo has announced the addition of two more. The Dallas Zoo took to social media this week to announce the birth of twin tamarin monkeys, the latest in a string of DFW zoo animal births.

On March 29th, the Dallas Zoo’s tamarin monkey, Lettie, gave birth to twins. In the photo shared by the zoo, the two monkeys can be seen snuggling on the back of their mother. According to WFAA, the monkey’s father is named Roger, and their siblings are Chico and Ilsa.

While the parents weren’t the tamarin monkeys stolen back in January, the twins will now share an exhibit with the since returned zoo animals. No name for the twins has been announced at this time. Next time someone wants to try and steal tamarin monkeys from the zoo, there are now two more to help defend the family.
