Anyone who lived through the 80’s likely dreamed of driving around in a car like K.I.T.T from ‘Knight Rider’ in the future. While technology didn’t quite reach that point, now fans of the show will have a chance to finally hit the road like Michael Knight. David Hasselhoff is auctioning off his replica K.I.T.T car and the actor said he will even personally deliver the vehicle to the winner.
While it isn’t the actual car used to film ‘Knight Rider,’ David Hasselhoff, who starred in the series, owned an exact replica of the 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans complete with the futuristic digital dashboard and scanning red light at the front of the hood from the series. The car will be sold by Live Auctioneers, along with a number of other pieces from the actor’s career, on January 23.
The car is in driving condition, and is signed by Hasselhoff on the hood of the vehicle. Of course, the actor personally delivering the car to the winner is an added touch, giving the fan the chance to hang out with Michael Knight himself. Those childhood dreams are finally coming true.
