A 44-year-old woman in Grand Prairie has been arrested after authorities say she was trying to recruit another individual to rob the Golden Chick restaurant she was employed at.

Unfortunately for her, this other “individual” was actually an undercover ATF agent.

According to FOX 4, Laura Gonzalez allegedly contacted the person on Facebook Messenger for $500 for vehicle payments. When the person declined Gonzalez proposed robbing the Golden Chick restaurant.

Gonzalez communicated with the agent over text messages and phone calls about stealing $3,000 to $4,000 from the safe inside the business, also stating that she had a firearm they could use in the robbery.

A second agent met with Gonzales on August 5 to discuss security cameras inside the restaurant. On August 6, she was arrested on charges of attempted robbery.

If convicted, Gonzalez faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
