David Lee Roth has been known to flaunt his stuff on stage, but while the former Van Halen frontman has inspired many other musicians’ stage presence, it’s another artist’s work on stage that recently influenced Diamond Dave. Roth recently shared a new piece of original artwork that was apparently inspired by Cardi B’s controversial GRAMMY performance. While Roth has shared his artwork in the past, this may be the first time one of his drawings went viral.
As seen in David Lee Roth’s latest piece of art, the singer gives his commentary on Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s controversial performance of ‘WAP’ at the GRAMMYs. In the drawing, Roth writes, “Nothin’ but W.A.P for David Lee” and “He thinks it means wings and pizza.” While Roth may not have got the abbreviation correct, many fans enjoyed his take on the controversial performance.
According to Blabbermouth, this is not the first time David Lee Roth has shared some of his artwork, previously calling it “an official answer to the question 'what do you do in your spare time?'" Many fans enjoyed his latest example, asking to see more in the future. Hopefully there are more controversial performances coming to inspire Roth.
