Going to the movies just isn’t what it used to be. Of course, streaming services and television quality at home has played a big role in this, but for many it’s the price of a movie ticket that keeps them from going to the theater. Luckily, this weekend a number of DFW movie theaters will be celebrating National Cinema Day by offering $3 tickets to customers.
National Cinema Day is September 3, and to celebrate some of the biggest movie theater chains are slashing their prices for the day. According to Dallas Culture Map, AMC Theatres, Cinemark, Alamo Drafthouse, Studio Movie Grill, Regal Cinemas, Angelika Film Center, Look Dine-In Cinemas, and more will be participating. Some of the chains will even be offering discounts on snacks and drinks.
While Labor Day weekend won’t be featuring any big movie releases this year, there are still plenty of films for fans to go see, instead of waiting for them to go to streaming. While it’s just one day, many movie fans will finally be getting the theater experience they have missed.
