A Laredo, TX family feels trapped inside of their own home after suffering from what they describe as “constant bee attacks” from a nearby beehive.
Marina Flores claims the bees have attacked her family and neighbors, even causing a strong reaction in one of her children.
She told KGNS News, “They’re all over the place. They won’t let me go out; they won’t let us go out. We go run our errands, then we rush back inside; we’re all stuck indoors putting away the groceries. They simply won’t let us out; they attack us.
“All I want is for them to clean up the creek—to clean it out and fumigate it.”
City officials say they have been investigating the issue over the past several days and said that health and safety concerns have prompted the city to step in and clean up the area.
The city also said that moving forward, they will be working with property owners and expects the property to be properly maintained moving forward.
