Some restaurants in Texas fail to live up to the “everything is bigger in Texas” motto. However, one DFW restaurant recently took that slogan to a new level with their insane food challenge. Salsa Joe’s in Arlington went viral recently for their 20 pound burger challenge.

Known as the "El Gordo--the Fat One,” the massive burger includes a 5 1/2-pound bun, more than a pound of cheese, and a pound of pickles. “It was literally, like, right at 20 pounds,” said Salsa Joe’s owner Jonathan Schiller. The 20 pound burger in Arlington now has the title of the largest burger on any menu in Texas.

While the item is currently on the menu, the restaurant needs a one day notice, as the burger takes two days to make. Completing the burger is definitely a challenge, however completing the dish doesn’t come with any prize. This burger is truly for anyone eating for pride.
