Any time a stadium that is home to multiple sports has to do a quick turnaround between events, the internet is gifted with the incredible overhead time lapse video of the transformation. While going from hockey ice rink to basketball hardwood in short time is impressive, what Dickies Arena in Fort Worth is planning to do this weekend will put that transformation to shame. The arena will be filled with 750 tons of dirt for an upcoming PBR event, but what’s even more impressive is the staff will be tasked with completing the conversion twice.
For the first time ever, the Professional Bull Riders will be heading to Fort Worth this weekend for their annual season-culminating World Finals. It will be the first time the event is held in Fort Worth, and to get Dickies Arena ready for the event staff will fill the arena with upwards of 750 tons of dirt, along with creating a maze of steel paneling totaling to the length of six football fields, according to an official PBR press release.

Making things more difficult the staff will have to make the transformation twice, as Paul McCartney will perform at the arena in between the two bull riding weekends. The transformation will begin on Tuesday. Hopefully the staff doesn’t mind getting a little dirty.
