Every student deserves a hot meal at lunchtime, which is why Dallas ISD has announced that every student will be served a free lunch during the upcoming 2024-25 school year.

According to WFAA, every student, regardless of income, will be served lunch for free under the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).

Dallas ISD's Food and Child Nutrition Services (FCNS) said in a statement, "Under the CEP, schools receive funding based on a formula that relies on data from other sources, so families no longer have to submit applications reporting their household income if they want to take advantage of free school meals."
