If there’s a lesson to be learned today, it’s that persistence pays off.
A Richardson man has not missed a Lotto Texas drawing for 30 years. He’d win here and there, but never “caught the big fish” so they say.
Until now.
The resident won a $41 million jackpot in the Texas Lottery drawing held April 20, after purchasing a ticket at a 7-Eleven located at 3700 Interstate 30 in Mesquite!
According to WFAA the winner, who has chosen to remain anonymous, chose to take the cash value of the win and received $22,574,163.57 before taxes.
The winner plans to use the money to help their children and grandchildren, and to see the world. They said in a release, “I stayed up all night thinking about it! There’s a whole world out there I need to see!”
