Fans of the original 'Star Wars' trilogy had to wait years before getting any new content based on the series. However, nowadays there is so much new material; sometimes it's hard to keep up with. Now, Disney has revealed the cast and production date for their upcoming 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' series, getting fans ready for another show to obsess over.
According to Disney+, 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' will begin shooting in April with a star studded cast. Joining Ewan McGregor, who will return to his role as the iconic Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, will be Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie. Hayden Christensen will also return to the franchise in the role of Darth Vader.
Not much has been revealed about the series, but based on the casting and a brief synopsis, many fans already claim they can't wait. According to StarWars.com, the new series will begin 10 years after the events of 'Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith,' where Kenobi was defeated and his Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, turned evil. With this new series on the way, 'Star Wars' fans will soon have something new to critique obsessively.
