There is tons of great art all throughout North Texas, but apparently one piece stands out above the rest. It was recently announced that a Fort Worth art installation was included on the list of finalists for a major international award. Concentric Harmony is one of 15 art pieces from Texas hoping to win a CODA Award.
Earlier this week, the Top 100 CODA award finalist for 2023 were announced, and while there were over 400 entries across 24 countries, only one art instillation from DFW made the finals. Concentric Harmony is an interactive maze of 97 brightly painted columns in three concentric circles that is located at Rosemont Park at 1600 W. Seminary Drive. According to NBC DFW, the piece was created by artist Virginia Fleck to encourage curiosity and unstructured play.
Public voting is now open as the 100 finalists will compete across 10 different categories, with an additional two winners for the People's Choice award. The winners will be announced at the end of August. Hopefully Concentric Harmony will be bringing home another award for the metroplex.
