Living in a big city can be fun, but when it comes to raising a family usually parents are looking for something a bit calmer. Luckily, there are plenty of suburbs all throughout DFW that are considered a great place to raise a family. In fact, a new study recently ranked Wylie as the second best city in the entire country for families.
Fortune Magazine recently unveiled their list of the top 25 cities in America for families. Only two Texas cities made the top 25, with Wylie taking the number two spot overall. According to Dallas Culture Map, Wylie was ranked so high due to their well-above-average public schools, numerous facilities for older residents, and events such as the Bluegrass on Ballard festival and Wylie 500 Pedal Car Race.

The study claimed Wylie has a median home price of $399,838 and the median household income as $96,845. Sugar Land was the only other Texas city on the list, at number 17. With this study, plenty of people will now be looking at Wylie as the place to raise their family.
