Residents of Garland have enjoyed the Surf & Swim water park since 1984. However, the last few years haven’t been too kind to the facility, which has remained closed to visitors, and was in desperate need of an upgrade.
Well an upgrade is exactly what the city of Garland is getting.
According to the Dallas Observer, construction is set to begin this summer on a brand new Surf & Swim Regional Aquatics Facility, which is expected to open in 2026!
Though the new park will be smaller than the old, it will contain a winding lazy river, a wave simulator, three new water slides, a leisure pool and an aquatic playground.
There will also be a party room for special events like birthdays and as well as a concession stand.
