BBQ is more than just a cuisine in Texas; it’s a way of life. While many states in the south claim to have the best BBQ style, Texas BBQ is beloved all over the country. However, within the state there are plenty of arguments over which city does BBQ the best. Now, a new report ranking the best BBQ restaurants in Texas has been unveiled, and a Fort Worth restaurant took the top spot.
Texas Real Food recently announced their 10 best Texas BBQ Joints in 2022, and of course DFW was well represented. While previous lists have picked spots in Austin, Houston and San Antonio for the best BBQ restaurant, this list claims Fort Worth’s Goldee’s BAR-B.Q is the best option. “The owners have created a barbecue that has a balance of seasonings and enough smoky flavor to make their briskets, baby back ribs, and sausages as close to perfection as possible,” the report said of Goldee’s.
Other DFW restaurants making the list were Cattleack BBQ in Dallas at number six and Panther City BBQ in Fort Worth at number 10. According to CW33, the annual list also includes restaurants from Austin, Brenham, Seguin, Wolfforth and Lexington. Thanks to this list, DFW now has BBQ bragging rights until next year.
