A woman in Austin is suing Torchy’s Tacos claiming that she found a cow tooth inside of her food.
According to KVUE, the woman says he found the tooth inside of her “Democrat” taco that she ordered at the Torchy’s located at 1822 S. Congress Ave. The Democrat contains beef barbacoa derived from beef cheek.
The lawsuit states that the woman was “grossed out and sickened” after finding the tooth and that she visited a doctor later that evening and was “given some prescriptions.”
The suit also alleges that the manager was informed of the tooth and claims it was “unclear what if anything he did to remedy the problem within his food and under his control.
The woman is suing Torchy’s for $250,000, or less as determined by a jury, alleging that Torchy’s was negligent by selling a product that was not up to standards.
