For many dads the only gift they really want for Father’s Day is for someone else to handle mowing the lawn for once. Luckily for some fathers in McKinney, they got exactly that on Sunday when a group of goats wandered into their neighborhood to graze on their yards. The uninvited guests made their way to the neighborhood after breaking off from a herd grazing at a nearby development.
The Erwin Farms neighborhood in McKinney is no stranger to wild life, yet many residents were still stunned recently when a group of goats somehow ended up on their front yards. “I think they ate a little bit from everybody's yard all the way around the circle here. One of the guys on two legs was just eating my tree. It was pretty wild," said Garrett Piersall, a resident of Erwin Farms. According to WFAA, the same neighborhood saw a group of wild hogs take over the area back in January.
While many wondered where so many goats could have come from, they reportedly were part of a group at a nearby development tasked with eating down the vegetation. Normally wild animals in the neighborhood cause major issues, but these animals will definitely be welcomed back next time some yards need trimming.
