For years, North Texans felt left out as others in the state got to enjoy all the glory that is H-E-B. However, with the San-Antonio based grocery store chain finally deciding to enter the metroplex, many will finally get to see what all the fuss is about. H-E-B already has three DFW locations in the works, and they just announced a fourth is about to begin construction in Allen.
When it was first announced that H-E-B was coming to DFW, many were hoping they would be close enough to one that they could shop there regularly. Luckily for those North of Dallas, an H-E-B location won't be hard to find soon enough. Stores are already in the works in Frisco, Plano and McKinney and now H-E-B will be adding another in Allen as well.
According to Dallas Culture Map, the new location will be on the North West corner of State Highway 5 and Exchange Parkway. A groundbreaking ceremony will mark the start of construction, though no opening date has been announced at this time. Hopefully soon enough H-E-B will be ready to venture out of Collin County and into the rest of DFW.
