When HEB first announced they were expanding to DFW, many throughout the metroplex were hoping their city would be one of the first to get the beloved Texas-based grocery store. While many cities are still waiting for HEB to come to their town, the city that was actually the first is already working on a second location. It was recently announced that HEB was planning a second Frisco location, with this store set to be near Little Elm.
HEB already owns land all throughout North Texas, and now they are set to build a new location on one of their plots in Frisco. City officials recently granted HEB a 30-day extension to submit its preliminary plat work for a future H-E-B store. According to NBC DFW, the store will be located on the southwest corner of U.S. 380 W. University and FM 423 or Gee Road near Little Elm.
While the plan is moving forward, no construction or opening date has been announced at this time. Since coming to DFW, HEB has already opened stores in Frisco and Plano, with more throughout the metroplex on the way. Soon, North Texans won't remember a time without HEB.
