A house made out of ice cream sounds pretty incredible, but what about a house that ice cream built? People looking for a new home in Fort Worth now have that opportunity, as a home built by the inventor of the Drumstick ice cream cone recently hit the market. The 86-year-old home sits on an acre of land and is currently listed for nearly $4 million.
Back in 1937, I.C. Parker, the president and general manager of Pangburn Candy Company and inventor of the Drumstick ice cream cone, built a home at 2920 Simondale Drive in Fort Worth. Now, the cottage style home is back on the market for $3.985 million. According to Fort Worth Star Telegram, the home features two bedrooms, two full and two half bathrooms, large kitchen, working stone fireplace, a shaded patio in the backyard with a pool and hot tub, grill area, detached brick tool shed and more.
Along with Parker, the home has had four owners since being built. Realtor Laura Ladner will help sell the property, having sold it back in the 90s as well. Soon, someone in DFW will be able to claim they live in the home that Drumsticks built.
