Irving-based 7-Eleven has filed a lawsuit against Nike for copying the store’s signature colors for its latest sneaker launch.

Not only that, Nike also announced the launch of the sneakers on July 11, known as “7-Eleven Day.”

Per WFAA, 7-Eleven alleges in the filing, “Nike’s infringement is a deliberate and willful effort to associate its footwear with 7-Eleven by copying or imitating the Tri-Color Mark," 7-Eleven alleges in the filing. "Nike’s misleading practices and misappropriation of 7-Eleven’s Tri-Color Mark likely will cause — and indeed already have caused — confusion among the public and likely will deceive consumers as to the Infringing Footwear’s source, sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation.”

In the filing, 7-Eleven asked the court to stop the launch of the shoe, recall any sneakers distributed and award damages.
