At the annual meeting of NFL owners last month, a picture of Jerry Jones, pen in hand with a notepad resting on his lap went viral.

The contents of the notepad are what drew the attention of 7.2 million viewers, as nobody could decipher what Jerry was trying to scribble.

At a glance, it just looks like doodles on a notepad, and it seems it appears that way to everybody but Jerry.  He's known to hold meetings always with a pen in hand, ready to emphasize a point at a scribble's notice.

Even Jerry's children can't make out what exactly he's trying to write.  Son Stephen, Cowboys executive vice president, CEO, and director of player personnel, recalled the team's negotiations with Emmitt Smith in 1993, and how Jerry wrote some points to the contract discussions on a piece of paper.

Stephen told the Dallas Morning News, "It wouldn't matter if anyone found his notes.  You can't make heads or tails out of it."

However Jerry's mind works in business mode, he can't help but have a pen in hand while working.  "In some weird way, he's Picasso," Charlotte Jones, Cowboys executive vice president and chief brand officer, said. "It makes sense to him."
