Kelly Clarkson was introduced to the world singing other artists' songs on 'American Idol.' She has come a long way since then, now hosting her own daytime talk show. However, the singer clearly knows what the fans want to hear. In a recent episode of 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' the host decided to belt out a cover of Soul Asylum's 'Runaway Train.'

Clarkson performed the song during her 'Kellyoke' segment on the show, where the host sings a cover version of a popular song. Some of the other songs Clarkson has covered on her show include Fleetwood Mac's 'Dreams,' Bon Jovi's 'It's My Life,' and Aerosmith's 'Dream On.' According to Billboard, this week the singer decided to try her version of Soul Asylum's popular power ballad from the 90's.

Many fans were impressed with Clarkson's version, as they have been with a number of other songs from 'Kellyoke.' With Clarkson dedicating the popular segment to singing other artists' songs, many fans have pointed out it is reminiscent of her start in 'American Idol.' Luckily for Clarkson, she doesn't have to hear from judges Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell after the performance.
