For most folks in DFW, there are still a few days left of summer vacation to enjoy.
Plenty of time to head down to the lake for some fishing, and thankfully, one of the best spots to do so is right here in North Texas.
A recent report from FishingBooker ranked Lake Texoma, of which striped bass are the primary attraction, among the top five fishing lakes in the nation, naming it fourth in angler demand, even outranking three of the five Great Lakes.
Vukan Simic, CEO of FishingBooker, said of the findings, “Lake Texoma out-booking three of the Great Lakes says everything about how strong its Striped Bass fishery really is.
“It’s proof that a border lake between Texas and Oklahoma can go head-to-head with some of the biggest fisheries in the country and win.”
