A whole generation of adults grew up reading the books and watching the movies. Now, a whole new generation of fans can experience the world of Harry Potter first-hand at The Wyrd and Wand Archive in Waxahachie.
It’s a new, Harry Potter-themed bookstore, where owner Nichole Crites says they are just trying to bring a little magic to the city.
She told CW33, “The goal was to feel like you’re stepping into another world,” Crites said. “A world maybe out of one of those stories that you’ve read and fallen in love with. For me, that happens to be Harry Potter.”
The store just doesn’t sell Harry Potter books and merch, though. They offer a selection of mainstream and local authors, as well as book clubs and other events.
Crites said, “It seems to be more than a bookstore, it’s a bit of a place for community to just hang out.
“It’s more than just reading, in the old school print way of reading. It’s also just a place for people to build community and feel like they belong.
The Wyrd and Wand Archive is located at 113 N College St, Waxahachie, TX 75165.
