Buc-ee’s is a road trip staple in Texas, but as it begins to expand to other states, more and more are starting to realize just how great it is. There are many reasons why Buc-ee’s is so beloved, as no other chain has been able to come close to replicating it. However, one man in Mexico will try as he recently announced plans to open his own knock off version of Buc-ee’s in Mexico.

Ramon Montelongo recently took to social media to share the news that he plans on opening a supermercado in Mexico, inspired by Buc-ee’s. As seen in the photo that has since gone viral, the store is called “Buc-ii’s” and includes a mascot similar to the Buc-ee’s Beaver. According to KXAN, Montelongo plans to sell grocery items and international beers at Buc-ii’s.

Montelongo’s version of Buc-ee’s will be located in Matamoros Tamaulipas. While the actual Buc-ee’s probably won’t be big fans of this version, Montelongo will continue to chase his dream. Maybe one day his version will be just as popular.
