Now’s the time to start stocking up on Halloween candy because let’s be honest, you’re not going to save whatever you initially bring home that you intend to give to trick-or-treaters. A lot of drive-by snacking is going to occur before October 31.
So go pick up your favorite treats now so you’re not scrambling on October 30 trying to find anything for the hundreds of kids set to visit your home the next day.
Innerbody recently compiled all sorts of data about Halloween candy, including what kids (and adults) are going to crave most in 2026, and even found what Halloween candy is most popular in each state!
Nationwide, Sour Patch Kids reigned supreme as the most popular Halloween candy of choice. In the Lone Star State, however, Sour Punch Straw emerged victorious, for the second straight year no less!
Funny enough, Sour Punch Straws also appeared as one of the ten least searched candies nationwide.
The most popular candy brands for Halloween this year include: Sour Patch Kids, Skittles, Snickers, Starburst, and Twix. The least popular brands include: Dubble Bubble, Lemonheads, Hot Tamales, Blow Pops, and York Peppermint Patties.
