Batman fans are constantly debating what actor best portrayed the caped crusader. Now, with Robert Pattinson set to add his name to the debate in March, Michael Keaton is reminding people who their pick for best Batman has always been. The actor, already set to reprise the role of Batman for the upcoming film, ‘The Flash,’ has now been added to the cast of ‘Batgirl’ as well.
With Marvel successfully turning the cinematic universe into a “multiverse,” it appears DC is ready to do the same. After months of rumors, it was finally confirmed earlier this year that Michael Keaton would return as Batman in ‘The Flash,’ but now it appears that won’t be Keaton’s only time seen wearing the bat suit. In a recent media press kit released showing all of Warner Bros. 2022 films, it was noted that Keaton had joined the cast of ‘Batgirl.’
While the role Keaton will play has not been announced, many fans are assuming this means DC has gone all in on the “multiverse” as well.
According to AV Club, ‘The Flash’ is expected to be released in November, while no release date has been announced for ‘Batgirl.’ Soon enough the real Batman will be back on the big screen.
