When Faith No More announced they were reuniting in 2019, many fans were hoping that meant new music from the band would be on the way as well. Sadly that was not the case, as lead singer Mike Patton has said the reunion would only include live shows. However, that doesn’t mean Patton hasn’t been hard at work in the studio, as he recently recorded a cover of the ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ theme for new video game.
While plans for a Faith No More tour had been pushed back to 2021, the group now has something new to add to their set list. According to NME, a trailer for the upcoming video game ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge’ was released recently, and it includes a new version of their theme song done by Mike Patton. The new song has many fans excited to give the game a try.
According to a description of the game, the upcoming video game will be reminiscent of a classic arcade style game that features “a beautifully realized pixel art world invoking the turtles’ classic 1987 design." When Faith No More finally hits the road, hopefully they bring this theme song along with them.
