They say when one sense is lost, the others are heightened. While usually that is a phenomenon mostly known by the blind, a new DFW restaurant is giving customers the chance to experience this for themselves. ‘Dining in the Dark’ is an event currently taking place in a top secret DFW restaurant where customers are blindfolded in order to enjoy a three course meal in a way they never have before.

The sensory dining experience first came to Dallas in March and will run through May taking place on every Wednesday. According to reviews, the ‘Dining in the Dark’ event is a special experience with one customer saying, “Fabulous from start to finish. Waiters were great and welcoming and then food was amazing! Definitely would recommend and can’t wait to come back!” Each customer is given a disposable blindfold and is guided to their table for their meal.

According to Secret Dallas, tickets must be reserved for the event, and each seat at the table will cost $80 per person. While eating in the dark may seem odd to some, the event promises to “elevate your meal to a whole new level.” Hopefully this doesn’t lead to any food related injuries.
