DFW has grown quite a bit over the last few years, and a big reason for the growth is all the businesses that have come to the metroplex in recent years. Now, it seems an entire industry is trying to get to the Lone Star State, as a new report has revealed North Texas now has the second most data center hubs in America.

Silicon Valley may be the home of many of the tech industries biggest companies, but DFW is quickly becoming a major tech capital. A new report from CBRE claims DFW now has more data center hubs than Silicon Valley, with only Northern Virginia having more. According to Axios, North Texas’ data center inventory has grown by 247% percent since 2015.

Along with DFW’s growth in the industry, Austin, San Antonio and Houston are among the top secondary markets for data centers. A large reason for the shift to Texas is the power restraints in places like Silicon Valley and Northern Virginia. At this rate, Texas will be the new tech leader in no time.
