For those unfamiliar with just how big the horse business is here in Texas, get ready for a massive wakeup call.

Teton Ridge is a western entertainment company that is selling its ranches in Weatherford.  They had a sort of “garage sale” where they auctioned off items in preparation for the sale.  Those items included the horses the company kept on the property.

According to Western Bloodstock, in a single day, Teton Ridge sold its horses for a total of $28,091,500, including five that sold for over a million dollars each!  The top-selling horse, Third Edge, was sold to the Solo Select horse breeding operation out of Gainesville for $5.6 million!

Dallas broker Icon Global, who handled the sale of the property, billed it as a "best of the best" professional horseman's training and breeding facility that can accommodate a number of Western equine disciplines, including reining and cutting.
