In most states, allergies are usually a seasonal issue. However, here in Texas it seems allergies are a year-round occurrence. With specific allergies for each season, Texans are used to not getting much relief, but sadly a new report is claiming allergies in the Lone Star state are expected to be much worse than normal this year.
With Texans finally getting over their summer reactions to tree and grass pollen, a new allergy has started to take over. Every fall, ragweed allergies effect many in DFW, and this year things are expected to only get worse. According to WFAA, allergy season is expected to be in full force for the rest of 2022 and early 2023 due to a warmer than normal fall and winter.

Both ragweed and mountain cedar are causing allergies in North Texas this season, with little to no relief in sight. Some tips for avoiding allergies include; keeping windows and doors closed, changing the AC filter often, showering and changing clothes after spending time outside and wearing masks to help keep pollen out of the nose. Hopefully by late next year, the sneezing in DFW has calmed down a bit.
