DeSoto woman Miracle Bennett loves snakes.

She developed her passion for the creatures during childhood and even met the love of her life through them. She was working at Petland at Town East Mall in 1989 when Jack Bennett came in looking to purchase a snake. They celebrate 30 years of marriage this year.

After growing tired of watching her neighbors and people around North Texas killing snakes in their yards, Miracle offered to remove and relocate them for free.

Now, known as the "Snake Lady," Miracle shows up to homes and relocates snakes, totally free of charge, around 100 to 150 times a year.

She told WFAA, "We get a lot of calls through Waxahachie PD and then the Tri-City Dispatch, which is DeSoto, Cedar Hill, and Duncanville." Not to mention, Dallas, Lancaster, and anywhere else south of I-30.

Miracle has relationships with landowners and farmers who take the snakes off her hands after they've been removed from peoples' homes.  She says it's her way of saving snakes across North Texas, and she plans to keep taking calls day and night to do it.
