One of the greatest Halloween traditions for many parents is hiding their kids Halloween candy and telling them they ate it. The tradition was started by Jimmy Kimmel, who would play compilation videos of the pranks on his show after Halloween. While Kimmel didn’t plan on doing the prank this year, parents still decided to send their videos in, not letting this tradition die.
On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ this week, the host revealed despite not planning to do their annual “I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy" challenge this year, parents stepped up and decided to send in their videos anyways. “This year we decided not to do it because kids have suffered enough," said Kimmel of the decision not to do the prank. However, since plenty of parents still did it, Kimmel decided to show the video anyways.
This year’s version contained 13 clips, and of course each had great child freak outs when it’s revealed their Halloween candy is gone. Hopefully this is one tradition that never goes away.
