As many drivers know, the roads are full of distractions, which is why any time a new one pops up people quickly try to get the issue resolved. For drivers in Plano, it’s a stretch of leaning utility poles that has residents concerned. However, despite a number of complaints to Oncor, the utility company has been unresponsive in getting the issue resolved.

A number of utility poles on Custer and Parker road in Plano have residents concerned as the poles have begun leaning towards the street. Many are worried the poles could fall, not only causing potential damage to vehicles, but affecting the electricity in the area as well. Despite these worries, Oncor claims the leaning poles are not a risk at this time.

“Oncor has not been responsive. If the poles do not pose a significant engineering safety issue, they are not an Oncor priority,” said the city. According to Dallas Morning News, Oncor plans to replace 10 poles in the area over the next few weeks, though it is unknown if the leaning poles will be included. Hopefully these poles can hold on until they are replaced.
