You can visit some of Dallas’ most iconic neighborhoods at a new art exhibit from SPARK! Dallas.

SPARK! City is an immersive experience that “transforms the organization’s South Dallas space into a vibrant celebration of the city’s diverse communities,” according to CW33.

Running through August 30, the exhibit features interactive rooms inspired by Dallas neighborhoods including Deep Ellum, Oak Cliff and Bishop Arts, Downtown and Uptown, The Cedars and Vickery Meadows.

The exhibit was created by local artists and Dallas students, including participants from Emmett J. Conrad High School and Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, and local artist Erika Bauer designed the room that represents The Cedars neighborhood, where SPARK! Dallas is located.

Meg Bittner, executive director of SPARK! Dallas, said, “We wanted to create an experience that celebrates the creative heartbeat of Dallas.

“Whether you’re a longtime resident or visiting the city for the first time, SPARK! City offers a unique way to explore the people, art and culture that make each neighborhood special.”

SPARK! City will be open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and on select weekdays throughout the summer and is located at 1409 Botham Jean Blvd. in the South Side on Lamar district.
