The Powerball jackpot has once again reached a level that will have many reaching for their wallets to fork over $2 for a chance to win. Ahead of Wednesday night’s drawing, the jackpot is now at $546 million. This comes just one day after Mega Millions held a drawing for $400 million with no winner.
On Wednesday, Powerball Jackpot will give players in 45 states, as well as Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, the chance to become an instant millionaire. After 32 consecutive weeks without a winner, the jackpot is now up to $546 million. According to Click2Houston, the last winner was April 19 when a player in Ohio won $252.6 million.
If a winner is found on Wednesday, they can either receive the $546 million in annual payments over the next 29 years, or get a one-time $282 million lump sum. With both major lottery games in the six figures, many players feel this could be their best chance at becoming a millionaire. Hopefully the winner of at least one is found right here in DFW.
