In a recent report from CNBC, Texas was found to have the second-best economy amongst states in the nation!
According to the data, Texas had the second-fastest growing economy last year (just behind North Dakota) and was amongst the states with the strongest job growth; only California has more S&P 500 companies.
The report found there are some things Texas can work on though, including the state's slowing home price appreciation, and that Texas homeowners are paying the 12th-highest effective property tax rate in the nation.
Still, we always hear everything is bigger in Texas, and that definitely includes the Lone Star State's strong economy!
